Potential Post-Doc on Significant Adverse Impacts

Expressions of interest are invited to fill a potential three year postdoctoral fellowship that will focus on assessing the cumulative impacts of significant adverse impacts (SAIs) and climate change on vulnerable marine ecosystems (VMEs) in the northeast Pacific Ocean. The postdoctoral fellow will collaborate on a definition of SAI for the North Pacific Fisheries Commission (NPFC). The fellow will also predict climate-induced change to VME distributions and assess the cumulative effects of SAI and climate change on VMEs in the northeast part of the NPFC’s Convention Area. The potential position based in Nanaimo, Victoria, or Vancouver, British Columbia will be available from April 2023 to March 2026. The annual salary would range from $61-68,000.
