CSU Monterey Bay is home to multiple broad marine science initiatives: 1) Monterey Bay Regional Ocean Sciences Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU), 2) National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Center for Coastal and Marine Ecosystems, 3) NSF Geo-Bridge and Geo-Futures programs, 4) NSF Diverse Ocean Science Communities through Collaboration, and 5) California State University Council on Ocean Affairs, Science & Technology (CSU COAST). The collective goals of these myriad programs are to engage more students and provide them with the experience and training necessary to successfully enter the workforce in a degree-related career path and/or to pursue advanced degrees in marine science and related fields. The Ocean Science Education and Student Professional Development Specialist (incumbent) will split their time evenly between the first four programs (50% of the position) and CSU COAST (50% of the position), and common responsibilities will be shared among the programs. Anticipated Hiring Salary Range: $80,000 - $90,000 per year
