Indigenous Affairs and Cultural Heritage Directorate

This position will work as a part of Parks Canada’s Terrestrial Archaeology team to support Parks Canada’s involvement in Impact Assessment Act (IAA) related projects and project reviews within and surrounding Coastal British Columbia. It will involve providing professional support and input into the Government of Canada’s review and assessment of these projects, and participating in Parks Canada’s role as subject matter specialists for the Government of Canada on archaeology. A key component of this position will be to lead the development and implementation of a multi-year (2024-2028), collaborative, impact assessment project, focused on examining and assessing coastal erosion and archaeological site impacts related to projects being reviewed under the Impact Assessment Act (IAA).
