Environmental Scientist (College of Natural &Computational Science)

Hawaii Pacific University (HPU) is seeking an experienced Environmental Scientist to direct the execution of the funded research project titled, "Nets to Roads: Innovative research to scale-up removal and repurposing of derelict fishing gear," within the Center for Marine Debris Research (CMDR) until March 31, 2026, with extension dependent upon successful awards of additional grant funding. The project seeks to accelerate plastic marine debris removal and recycling in the Hawaiian Islands by establishing mechanical recycling processes that produce large-volume, long-term recycled products used in local infrastructure.
