Center for the Blue Economy Research Associate

The Research Associate will contribute to the development of natural capital estimates for offshore oil and gas, commercial fisheries, and beach recreation in execution of the National Strategy to Develop Statistics for Environmental-Economic Decisions. The project will develop estimates and test data methodologies for the creation of natural capital accounts consistent with the UN System of Environmental-Economic Accounts. This is a term-limited position with employment to April, 2024. This position is expected to be remote work; residence in Monterey and working in the office is encouraged, but not required. For remote work, employee must have access to reliable internet, adequate computing and communications, and a willingness to manage their own time while staying within schedules determined by the research team.
