Tenure track assistant professorship under Stanford’s “Taking the Pulse of the Planet” initiative, which is focused on the technology and data-science components of all areas of scholarship in the Doerr School of Sustainability. The initiative aims to build capacity to map, measure, and monitor the various components of the Earth system through in situ and/or remote sensing. Sensing approaches can target terrestrial and/or marine systems, from beneath the surface of land or the ocean to the top of the atmosphere, using autonomous vehicles, airborne or satellite platforms. Sensing technologies should enable interrogation of Earth systems from chemical, geophysical, and/or biological perspectives. The expected base pay range for this position is $126,000 - $145,000 per annum.
