IMPAC5 Ocean Festival: Let’s Celebrate the Sea!

In addition to musical performances by a diverse roster of top artists, the Ocean Festival features programming to educate and inspire all ages about the global ocean, with plenty of family-friendly activities designed to strengthen connections to the sea.

  • On-site plaza activities: Ocean Education brought to you by the Canadian Ocean Literacy Coalition, the Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society, Vancouver Fraser Port Authority, Parks Canada, and more

    • Sacred Journey mini pop-up exhibit

    • Interactive ocean floor map

    • Giant Pacific Octopus art installation

    • Kids art zone

    • Food trucks

  • Ocean Conservation Murals: CPAWS-BC has partnered with the Vancouver Mural Festival and Indigenous artists to create two murals promoting ocean conservation near the Vancouver Convention Centre, the site of IMPAC5. 

    The Winds And The Waters Will Always Call Us Home mural at Canada Place will have lights and an  augmented reality experience you can view on your mobile device from February 3-9, 2023. Learn more about the murals
